If the client does not get a TRYING it is *supposed* to retry the INVITE. Therefore it is behaving correctly. There is no problem.

We have some network connection problems between Ericsson IMS Core (S-CSCF) and NGIN that originate one average of 10% dropped packets between them (almost during all the day). Because that problem, we discover the SIP Clients resends the SIP commands any time it didn't receive the trying reply but the Lucent NGIN didn't do that, and any time one NGIN to CSCF SIP packet is lost (UDP packet) the service do not continue (for that call) because NGIN is waiting for the CSCF answer and the CSCF is waiting for the NGIN answer (no retry is sent).

Any idea what could be the problem?
