NO FANBOYS HERE – MOBILE APPS COURSE EXPANDED FOCUS

Last year when announcing our full-day seminar on iPhone apps, I
emphasized that we are independent of vendors and not biased in
favor of any one platform.  For that reason I predicted that future
versions of the seminar would have broader coverage, and I chose a URL
that didn't include "iphone.html" to avoid linkrot when/if
the seminar content changed.

This prediction has now come true:

The original seminar focused on iPhone apps, because those were the
only ones of real interest in the mobile space. We are now changing
the seminar to have a broader focus on all touch-screen applications.
Still obviously including both iPhone and iPad apps since we have
so many guidelines from several rounds of testing those platforms.

We'll soon run fresh user tests of a range of mobile devices that will
include many Android apps. The seminar will go cross-platform starting
in October, as soon as the new findings from this research are available.

And the seminar on mobile websites (as opposed to device-native
applications) has an even broader focus, including findings from
a very wide range of smartphones, not just touchphones.
