amaya shows html preview is right but browser show code wrong

Hi,
I am using Amaya 11.1 to code a webpage. This webpage shows correctly inside amaya. However if I view the page in IE or FF the page displays wrong. For example the first row in my table should have a blue background and have the text on the right side. Amaya's preview shows this, but in the browsers the background color is gone and the text is left justified. I ran the code through the w3 validator and it shows no errors. What is wrong?
