Amaya 11.3.1 on Ubuntu

I am finally getting around to testing Amaya on Ubuntu 8.04 and have run 
into a problem. I always get an error code of -1 when authenticating 
during a save. I tried it with basic authentication and digest 
authentication setups.

I know DAV is set up properly on the web server because I can use a 
command line DAV tool (cadaver) to get and put files without problem 
with both basic and digest authentication.
