Paul, I would like to also hope that Microsoft will sort it, but based upon my background in Windows CE, and being all too aware of the mess in that department when it comes down to browser detection, I wouldn't put it past them to leave the issue in-place. Their logic would be 'same kernel, same core os'. All we have at our disposal is that information that is provided to Analog by the browser. Getting information on the CPU is dead easy, my user agent checker will tell you that much:http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/toolkit/useragent/ However, this information is not being sent into analog to begin with. I don't believe that there is an convention on identification of EM64-T processors anyway, so if Firefox were to do it, then there is nothing to say that Opera, MSIE and the rest would offer that data. The worthiness of the information is therefore limited as we are only ever seeing a sub-set of information. The log file analysis of analog is never accurate of course, the procedures in the code make many 'best guess' estimates in generating the page statistics, and the information contained within analog/RM's reports is easily cheated.

Consider your role here fulfilled, as there is nothing in there to indicate the presence of an EM64-T processor, I didn't think for a second that there would be. This is the only information that Analog has to go on under the W3C log format, and everything needed to make the reports.
 
Remember, analog doesn't do any querying, it is just reading log files. You would have to get the web server to record that information
 
 
The browser report lists pattern matched instances.
 
For example every time it sees Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.0.04506.30) it tally's nx+1
 
If it saw this however Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4321;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.0.04506.30) (the .net 1 build is different) it would tally it as ny+1
 
Notice for example the number you have of
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
 
Both IE6, both Windows XP, the SV1 actually means it's XP SP2, but as far as the browser report goes they are completely different platforms.
 
If you wanted to find out the number of safari/win hits, exclude * from the browser report, include safari and set the reporting floor to 1. A little excel fun will give you the number.
