Interesting, my DNS settings were per Blogger's recommendation at some 
point but obviously they're a little different now. Anyway, I've changed 
them a few days ago and things *seemed* to improve (object debugger no 
longer returning 503), but checking it again now and it's the same old

Thinking about it, I'd be surprised if the erratic nature of it was due to 
DNS. Even before the changes, every now and then it would be ok then out of 
nowhere it would start misbehaving without touching zone records for the 
domain.

Incidentally, I can force a 503 by manually constructing the request with 
the Facebook scraper user agent and issuing it via curl or Fiddler. It'll 
fail, but make a single char change to the UA and suddenly it's ok - this 
looks like Blogger messing with the request based on the client it believes 
is issuing it.

Any further ideas?
