Just set custom redirect and now site is in a death loop

I set my blogger site afmarko99.blogspot.com to custom redirect to 
www.withwingslikeeagles.net.  I used the custom CNAME codes and it 
authorized the update.

I also added A Records with four IP addresses for naked website address.  I 
noticed I couldn't load my site anymore and contacted ipage.com support.  
They said the A Records are causing the problem and I need to contact the 
blogging site to verify the IP addresses.  I removed all four A Records and 
the site it still in a loop.  I just noticed blogger has a checkbox to 
redirect.

Either way I don't understand why A Records would cause the loop?

I did have my ipage.com account setup to point to afmarko99.blogspot.com 
which I have removed.  I thought there was just a delay after saving but 
the site is still in a death loop around an hour later.

Please help
