Blogger API correctly returns results of listByUser, but returns "403 Forbidden" when asked to list posts.

I am new to the Blogger API. I have worked with Brett's javascript Blogger CKEditor example, substituting my own client Id and API key, and find that it correctly logs in, returns an access key, and lists my blogs (I have just one). However when I attempt to list posts (using *gapi.client.blogger.posts.list*) it fails, returning "Forbidden". I have had the same experience using the Google APIs Explorer, with Oauth turned on. It too lists my blogs, but fails on ...posts.list() and ..pages.list(). Any pointers would be appreciated.
