Post emailing and Blogger API

I've written a program using the C# Blogger V3 API that makes posts to several of my blogs. Many of those blogs are set up to send an email to several people with the post when a new post is made. (That is set up using the "Email posts to" setting in the "Mobile and email" settings section.) The emails are sent out correctly when I make a post online. But, when I use my program and post via the API, those emails are not sent. Is there some flag I need to set to enable sending those emails?
