Re: API reporting blog not found (404), but successfully returning posts from the same blog.

I had this problem too.
Turns out, in Blogger | Settings | Other, "blog posts", and "blog comments" 
feed were ON, but "per-blog-comments" feed was off.
It would help if there error messages was more helpful, e.g. the owner of 
this blog has disabled this feed using blogger - setting - other
