Proper way to upload and store photos to the Google Photos service

Hi I see the previous poster is also a bit confused about this. Anyway, I have made really good progress with the iOS api the last days and now I am adding the option to upload a picture. I have found the API's for both Picasa and Drive but I am not sure what method to use so I have one question: If I want my images to be uploaded to the unlimited Google Photos storage, how do I do that. Should I use the Picasa API or the Drive API or is there even a way to do it from the Blogger API?
