Back ground color

Hi. I started a new blog. For it, I chose a template with dark back ground. I then customized it and changed the back ground to pure black. I changed the text color to grey. Every thing works fine. When I preview a post, it appears exactly as I want. But the problem is while writing the post. I have to write long text content. The blogger editor is not showing the black back ground and the grey text. It is showing black text on white back ground. This causes strain when working for long hours. Could you please give me a method to obtain the balck background and grey text in the editor.
