Can't recieve basic information from my blogger site using an API key and v3 API

Here's the Stack Overflow post.

The general issue is that my API key works when doing an GET request to the 
blogger url in the docs but the key doesn't work when I do a get  request 
on my personal blogger blog.

My API v3 is enabled.

The requests are showing up in my dashboard but as failures.

I don't understand what  else to do.
