Bug report: Batching markAsSpan requests results in internal server error (500)

I have a script which remove comments (mark as spam) if the author is
blacklisted.
(Yes - it's the reverse of reviewing comments before they're published).

To avoid hitting the quota the script uses batching of requests.
If there's one comment to remove the batch request works fine.
But if there's two (or more) comments to remove in the same batch request,
all but the first request fails.

Since it's a Internal Server Error code (500), I'm assuming *this is a bug
in the Google Blogger API*

My client code is available on
GitHub https://github.com/adbre/google-blogger-commentator-blacklist/blob/master/client.py
