Blogger editor is converting x-large fonts to xx-large fonts on <a> and <i> tags

HI, When editing a blog page, if I designate a section of text as x-large, it correctly gets wrapped in a span tag with a style="font-size: x-large" attribute. But if I then add a hyperlink or italicize marking within that text, the resulting generated html has an added a style="font-size: xx-large" attribute to the <a> and/or <i> tags automatically.
