problem with image map

 Hello, 

I want to integrate a image map in one single post, not at the complete 
blog. But it doesn't work.

I've come so far.

1)  creating an image map; copying the image map code from gimp. 
2) Uploading the image to Blogger in a specific post
3) Editing the HTML of this post: a) pasting the gimp code (start of HTML) 
b) replacing the GIMP file names/BLOGGER file name

The hyperlink will only link to the image as a whole, for a bigger image 
preview, and not the image map.
The image size is identical as in the GIMP editing
