Posts created with Blogger V3 API don't show in blog search results

I've come across a weird and pretty frustrating bug. Posts created using 
the API will not show up in my blogs search results. HOWEVER, after using 
the blogger template editor and editing the post and updating it the post 
will appear in the search results. Even reverting the post to draft and 
republishing it will work. This must be an issue on blogger's end as I 
don't see a way of fixing this other than manually updating every post I 
make with the API. Pretty annoying. Anyone else come across this?
