Re: Photos for personas

I tend to use Flickr cc images as well as they're often more "real" looking.

I've recently come across a bit of a quandary. I did a needs
assessment for a company intranet, listing all the types of user and
their likely needs. My problem is this, when it came time to write up
these personas I couldn't decide whether to go with pictures of actual
employees or non-specific ones downloaded from Flickr.

In the end, I could find so many problems with both routes I ended up
not using any images at all.

(of course, without pictures they're not 'really' personas but that's
another story)

I'd love to hear how others have handled needs gathering in
sub-100-employee companies.
