Re: Individual items that can be grouped or ungrouped - examples?

Your immediate description reminds me of a card sort visualization.  There
was a card sorting app released by a group in New Zealand.  Unfortunately I
don't remember the name of it.  It does what you describe quite well.  I'm
sorry I don't have more details, but the last time I looked at it was a
couple of years ago.
