We've been testing the links on our website with the prophet Jakob's 11
character tests:

For our target audience(s), Social service professionals and social
service recipients with relatively low literacy, we've figured out the
best link names for almost everything.
For example:
"Contact Us"
is better than:
"Contact"
We're a bit stumped on names for a link to take people to a list of .pdf
files.
For people who know what a .pdf file is:
...is about perfect.
For people that don't know what a PDF is, nothing really works. We've
tried "Print Book" "Print" "Print Listin" "Print Docume", "Print
Detail", etc,etc,etc
Our current thought is that Jackob's scripture on low literacy users is
that they often read rather than scan:

It is our hope that we can include a few words of explanatory text after
the "Download .pdf" link. (which will be in a navigation menu)
