Dear colleagues:

We are carrying out a one-year funded project related to the impact of onli=
ne communities on the well-being and quality of life of people aged over 65=
years. Age UK in Milton Keynes (where our university is based) is one of t=
he external advisors on this project.

We were wondering if colleagues who may have had the experiences of interac=
ting with and helping their parents or grandparents, relatives, neighbours,=
acquaintances or friends in joining online communities such as Facebook, o=
r online discussion forums, or Twitter, and so on would be willing to share=
their stories and anecdotes with us: the benefits people aged over 65 perc=
eive, the obstacles they face, or if they perceive any risks, and their mot=
ivation for joining online communities.

We would be most grateful to receive your stories and anecdotes. Please con=
tact me <[email protected]> if you would be able to help us or for furth=
er details of the project. =

Many thanks.

Regards,

Shailey
