FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS ISCRAM-Med 2014: Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management in Mediterranean countries=20 http://irit.fr/ISCRAMMED2014 Conference Dates: Oct 15-17 2014 Toulouse France OBJECTIVE AND TOPICS The aim of ISCRAM-Med is to bring together researchers and practitioners = working in the area of Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management. The conference will focus on Mediterranean crises but rem= ains open to crises in other areas and theoretical works.=20 Topics include but are not limited to:=20 -=09Analytical Modelling and Simulation -=09Social Media Observation -=09Crisis Ontology, -=09Community Engagement in Crisis Informatics Research -=09Command and Control Studies -=09Decision Support Systems -=09Disaster Relief Supply Chain Management -=09Information System Interoperability and Inter-organizational issues =09 -=09Ethical, Legal and Social Issues of IT Supported Emergency Response -=09Geographic Information Science -=09Humanitarian Information Systems -=09Planning, Foresight and Risk Analysis -=09Practitioner Cases and Practitioner-Centred Research -=09Serious Games for Crisis Management -=09Visual Analytics for Crisis Management CONTRIBUTIONS All paper submissions must make a new and significant contribution to the= body of knowledge on information systems for emergency management, support their contribution with valid arguments, and be clearly structure= d and well written. ISCRAM2014 invites two categories of papers:=20 =E2=80=A2=09Research papers presenting valid, original, relevant cutting = edge research that will be reviewed to the highest academic standards.Rev= iewing will pay additional attention to the application of the related sc= ientific literature and theory, to the use of an appropriate research met= hodology, and to technical, mathematical and statistical correctness.=20 =E2=80=A2=09Demo papers presenting new developments in emergency manageme= nt and policy making, discussing approaches, methods, tools, (best) pract= ices and standards. These papers should focus on practical issues and con= cerns and raise challenges for future research, and will be reviewed to t= he highest practice-oriented standards.=20 All papers (10-14 pages, LNCS format) should be written in English and su= bmitted electronically in PDF format through the conference system=20 https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=3Discrammed2014 Every submitted paper will be evaluated by at least three members of the = program committee.
