to run because of permissions for CGI scripts.  If one wants to provide 
a nice interface for this (this assumes editting is "too hard"), then 
how about a Perl/Tk program to parse the album file, and provide an 
interface where you show the image thumbnail and one can enter the text? 
 You can probably do a bunch of these at once, that MIGHT be better. 
Certainly seeing the thumbnail is one thing you must have to enter a 
caption.
