Ok, that's the main thing I wanted to know.

So I just renamed the RC3 tar ball (without redownloading it again)
and packaged it as "3.0" and uploaded it Debian Unstable. Should be
available on all platforms within the next half day.

I see. And I understand that. Looking forward to the 3.0.1 release
