There is an environment variable that FLTK reads and which allows the user 
to select the scheme he likes best. I set it to: FLTK_SCHEME=grad1

With this variable you can also select the scheme to use with Dillo, since 
it is based on FLTK (tested with 3.0pre).

This gradient scheme, which is my favorite, looks like this:
