The thing that bothers me most about the tabs isn't the shape, but the  
lack of padding.  Adding a couple pixels to the tab height drastically  
improves the appearance and readability.

And it's probably better to use the system colors for tabs, since  
green-and-gray could clash with someone's desktop.  (Although I *do* like  
that particular shade of green.)
