I don't think I clarified myself well enough, I'm performing:

$ ps ax |grep dpi
$ kill [PID's of all *dpi* related processes]

At this point, since no *dpi* processes are remaining when doing ps ax, I 
safely assume Dillo's cookie dpi is stopped.
