That may  be your style but  I use the  keyboard a lot to  drive Dillo
(and like you  I use terminal applications a lot).  I  have a patch to
bind KEYS_{FIRST,LAST}_TAB in my local repository and I find it really
useful, particularly  when I have so  many tabs open  that they cannot
all be displayed in the tab bar.

I'll submit the patch for consideration in a few days.
