Hello, all. I am not sure someone still reads here, but still will ask. ;) Trying again with dillo as a fast startup browser, I figured out what is the actual reason for the recent startup slowdown. It is the function Tls_load_certificates() (tls.c line:254) which is executed on the startup initialization. In my tests, the startup time with or without running Tls_load_certificates() is huge. But of couse, without running Tls_load_certificates() the browser displays a warning: "Couldn't reach any trusted root certificate..." Any ideas how this function can be accelerated? Is it a problem of the mbedtls library, or just a wrong use?
