With the right settings, it should happen automatically if you have the
cursors in the correct directory.

Maybe also try this in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini:

gtk-cursor-theme-name=DMZ-Black
gtk-cursor-theme-size=48

You may need to restart X or reboot to see if it works.
