Hi, On Tue, Jan 21, 2025 at 08:00:58AM +1100, Kevin Koster wrote: >It's probably best to remove Google from the search engines in >the default dillorc because it no longer works in browsers without >Javascript support: >https://www.osnews.com/story/141570/google-begins-requiring-javascript-for-google-search/ > >In Dillo Google now redirects me to a page saying: >"Turn on JavaScript to keep searching" Still works if you mimic netsurf, w3m or elinks user agents, but yeah not ideal. See also: https://github.com/dillo-browser/dillo/issues/338 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42719865 https://support.google.com/websearch/thread/318978583 I suspect they still "care" a bit about non-JS browsers, they just don't test Dillo and their stupid support system doesn't let me pass the message to the engineering team. I still don't have much hope it will last long for those browsers. I would leave it for now, until it stops working with any UA. Best, Rodrigo. _______________________________________________ Dillo-dev mailing list -- dillo-dev-lx9mn2B4QYRWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to dillo-dev-leave-lx9mn2B4QYRWk0Htik3J/[email protected]
