To show/hide a frame via javascript, you can use the "document.body.cols" property of the frameset to set the frame's width/height to any value, as "0", "20%" or "*". "document.body.cols" reflects the "cols" attribute of the HTLM "frameset" tag. I've uploaded a simple example (zipped source included) here: www.bustelo.com.ar/framesets/ If it makes sense to support user-agents without javascript, you can point the show/hide links to alternate HTML framesets (instead to "#"). The "return false" of the function called by the onclick event, tells javascript-capable user agents not to follow the HTML link.
