Firefox handling of HTTP Requests

Hi,

I have a questions regarding how Firefox handles HTTP Requests.

I know this is more of a DOM forum but my question will in turn help me solve some DOM issues.

If I have a simple html page on my server http://mysever.com/blank.html and I load this up in my browser, a request is sent to the server.

If I again load the same page in my browser, in Firefox another request is being sent to the server. This doesn't happein in IE.

Actually, I don't want Firefox to send a request to the server (currently page doesnt have no cache headers).

I can always add cache headers, but I wanted to understand how this actually happens. Is it a standard or does every browser interpret it on their own?

Is there some reference on this available anywhere?

Any help would be appreciated.
