Some things I noticed in RC4

The first thing I noticed is that some of the modules (Encompass, Downloads) are not initialised when I install RC4. As soon as I install, I go to the module menu and it says that these modules have been upgraded. So you have to go through and initialise/activate them. Encompass is working upon install, but in order to get to the Encompass admin area, you need to initialize/activate it. This seems strange to me. The second thing is that in the admin zone settings TopCenter Box, TopCenterBlock, BotCenter Box, Bottom CenterBlock, ect are all now REQUIRED zones. This wasnt the case with my pre RC3 install. I dont understand why these are now required. You no longer have the ability to deactivate them. This seems like a bad thing to me. I am sure that some people might choose to deactivate them, but now cant. One more thing, in the zone menu, it says that no templates are assigned to all of the zones. Obviously, there actually are templates assigned or everything would look like crap. It just says there arent. Seems like this might be connected to Encompass not not initialized in the admin menu but is actually functioning. This is not that big of a deal though because you can just go and initialize encompass and set the templates if you want to. Things are looking good to me. The only thing that bugs me is the new required zones. This just seems like taking an option away from the site admins. I wasnt planning on using the top/bottom center blocks, so the first thing I did was go to deactivate them. But I couldnt. Of course, there might be good reasons (like future development plans) to make them required. But I would like to know these reasons. Keep up the good work, Seth
