Then perhaps the shipped themes should not link to them? For example,
Envolved should not link to XForums (Forums link at top) if it doesn't
work out of the box. I do recall seeing a GuestBook link in one of the
themes. 

If links are broken out of the box, it looks unfinished and broken.

Just my thoughts. :^)
