The much-thought-about-but-not-yet-significantly-worked-on EPrints-J would require versioning for documents (EPrints-J is the working title for a version or mode of GNU EPrints which would support peer reviews and versioning of documents) I'm still in the initial planning phase so give me suggestions, but don't ask for an estimated date...
