[I send this to the Eprints Underground list as well, since the policy
question is probably more appropriate there]

When I recently looked around to see what metadata and data policies
different archives used in their OAI configuration, I found them to be quite
different. Hence I wrote some policies based mostly on my own idea about how
they should be, see <http://orgprints.org/perl/oai2?verb=Identify>

I did not check the CalTech policies back then, but I can see that the
metadata policy seems similar to ours though the wording is different.

I would be interested in any comments on how appropriate policies should
look. In particular, some archives mention that commercial use is not
allowed, whereas I think that this is not a problem as long as there is a
reference or direct link to the original metadata summary page. And some
archives wrote something like "No rights at all are granted to this data",
which I found a bit confusing.
