If you've changed the site template (ie the header/footer in template-en.xml) or the way the abstracts are displayed (eg phrases in phrases-xml or citation styles in citations-en.xml or code in ArchiveRenderConfig.pm) you need to run generate_abstracts.

If you've changed site template or phrases used on static pages or code in ArchiveRenderConfig.pm you probably also want to run generate_static.

If you've changed the perl modules (eg ArchiveRenderConfig.pm) you need to stop and start (not restart) your apache server before running generate_abstracts etc.
