The current XML format is very basic and looks like this:

The exact fields will be slightly different as this is from an
established eprints archive, the default fields have changed since it
was installed, and some local fields have been added.

results can also be obtained for strict feedback systems, and this is
briefly sketched, and some further developments are noted.</field>
