I know this isn't ePrints specifically, but it *is* related: I'm trying to get my ePrints install to index word documents (it does html & text files fine), and I've got wvWare installed locally (along with glib & libwmf & libgsf & libxml2 & mktemp & pkg-config....) HOWEVER (isn't there always a "but" in these messages?) I'm having difficulty getting it to run.. It keeps dying because it's trying to access (non-existent) iconv libraries... even though wv-1.2 is supposed to use glib, not iconv! I've installed glib & libxml2 & libgsf & wvWare all with a "--without-iconv" switch.... to no avail. What is annoying is that a simple "yum" install on a readhat box, and it works just fine - with no iconv stuff installed.... Has anyone got wvWare running (working) on a Solaris system? thanks... -- Ian Stuart. Bibliographics and Multimedia Service Delivery team, EDINA, The University of Edinburgh. http://edina.ac.uk/
