Chris helped me do this by modifying ePrints code, now if I need to do this I do the following: 1. You upload all the files 2. You upload an additional xml file that takes the place of (or is combined with )the abstract field and is marked as "shown first" The xml file contains your abstract information and links to each of the documents. I can't remember which files were modified (or how) but I'm sure Chris knows. You could probably use the same modifications. -Mark -----Original Message----- From: Belinda Weaver [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 5:15 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [EP-underground] - Multiple files in eprints Dear all I sent this before but got no answer so am sending again in case anyone has words of wisdom. Maybe it is not possible to do what I want to do in which case I'll try a work-around the problem. I have been given a very large work for the archive here and had to break it up into four PDF files so as not to crash computers that tried to open it. However, despite uploading all four files, only one file appears as a clickable link from the record, so it looks as if there is only one file of 100 pages instead of four files totalling 600 plus altogether. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to upload it as four separate records, or is there a way to force the option of displaying the four spearate PDFs? I marked the first PDF as Shown First and assumed the others would follow in a list, but this did not happen. Any advice appreciated. regards Belinda Belinda Weaver, Co-ordinator, UQ E-Print Archive University of Queensland Library University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia 4072.
