Fastcgi specification details.

Hello ,
i am reading carefully the fastcgi specs and there is something which i
don't get clearly :

3.2 Accepting transport connection :
...
An application may accept several concurrent transport connection but it
need not do so.

My questions are :

1. In such cases where the application has been set to accept several
concurrent transport connections , will the web server always use the
same transport connection for a given request id , or do we have to
assume that there is no preferential transport connection for a given
request id ?

2. Is such feature commonly used in existing implementation of the spec
?
