It's running fine for me with dual Opterons under Gentoo.  Installation 
was painless for fastCGI and Apache2.  (Not so painless for other 
things!)  Server-status gives

Server Version: Apache/2.0.54 (Gentoo/Linux) mod_fastcgi/2.4.2
Server Built: Jun 8 2005 16:19:09
