I've got a question concerning IBM/Rational Purify and mod_fastcgi. I have a fastCGI application that was built to run from Linux Apache with mod_fastcgi (session affinity patches applied). The application runs great, but being written in C/C++ I want to check for memory leaks etc. I built and instrumented the application with Purify, but when mod_fastcgi creates the processes (when Apache boots), A Purify GUI window is not created and I want this GUI to be created. With 'ps' I can see that rtslave has been started with "-windows=yes" so a GUI window should have been created. I suspect this problem has something to do with Apache starting my Purified application so it doesn't know the window ID. If anyone has some experience with this I'd appreciate some suggestions. BTW, the Apache log does show that Purify got a license and some problems are shown, but it shows minimal information. I think the GUI would show more.
