How to set FCGI_stdout to binary mode?

When I need to transfer files, like images, in binary mode, how could I do
to set FCGI_stdout to binary mode so that it won't replace "\n" with "\r\n"
?
Language: C/C++
Compiler: gcc
Platform: FreeBSD
