Free Software is user supported.  If you use a piece of software and
want an extra feature (in this case, an existing module ported to run
under a new API) you must be prepared to implement it or pay someone to
implement it for you.

The first step would perhaps be trying the existing 2.0.x module under
Apache 2.2.x and reporting back to the list with your results.  If
somebody else is interested perhaps they will join in.  Otherwise,
you're on your own.
