mod_fastcgi and apache dev

Having approved a message for posting earlier today calling for a collection
of outstanding mod_fastcgi issues, I was thinking that I'd set aside time
this weekend to patch things up.  But reading Brian McCallister's blog and
poking through my dev-XeBeRKkkxMkyzMRdD/[email protected] mail, it seems that the apache crew
is off to a grand start at providing an Apache sanctioned FastCGI module.  

I haven't been using FastCGI operationally for years now and thus haven't
had much time or motivation to keep up with the support list (keeping the
spam off the list has been a headache in itself).  I am quite pleased at how
well the code has held up through this extended period though.  

If there is a real need, I will see what I can get done.  Collect up your
issues.  I'd rather you (and I) put eggs in the Apache fastcgi basket
though.

I should clearly state that my lack of involvement in fastcgi these last few
years is nothing more than simply not having enough time and that not using
it is simply a function of my latest employer (an enterprise Java shop).  

The technology is sound and very much alive.
