we are using FastCGI on our portals, with content management system 
providing generation of various sites.

We are getting incomplete headers too, after count of Apache processes 
rises too quickly too high.. Apache 2 and mod_fastcgi seems to be unable 
to handle this - we have to issue restart to Apache and fastcgi 
processes. With Apache 1 there is no such need. Just observations.
