Dispatcher failed to catch: (Interrupt)

I am running a lighttpd/fastcgi/rails setup and I keep getting this error in
my fastcgi logs when killing the lighttpd server with control-C:

killed by this error
Ruby dumps core too. Is there a way to avoid these kind of coredumps? Or am
I doing something wrong?
