That dll only works for Apache 2.0.x. You have to recompile it to work
for 2.2.x.

Subject: [FASTCGI] Can't get Apache 2.2.3 to start with mod_fastcgi

Hello,

Please help! Despite trying everything I can think of I can't get Apache
2.2.3 to start with the mod_fastcgi module. My setup includes Apache
2.2.3 running on Windows XP (installed using XAMPP). I downloaded
mod_fastcgi-2.4.2-AP20.dll from the fastcgi site and put it in my
modules directory renamed as mod_fastcgi.so. Although I have tried many
variations my httpd.conf is as follows -

LoadModule fastcgi_module modules/mod_fastcgi.so

AddHandler fastcgi-script fcg fcgi fpl exe

ScriptAlias /fcgi-bin/ "C:/Program Files/xampp/fcgi-bin/"

<Location /fcgid>
    SetHandler fastcgi-script
    Options ExecCGI
    allow from all
</Location>

There is no indication as to why Apache doesn't start in the error log
(with loglevel debug) and the only hint that I have found is in the
System Event Log as follows -

The Apache2 service terminated with service-specific error 1 (0x1).

Any help would be very very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Darin
